Find real healing.
Sometimes, talk therapy alone isn’t enough to heal the deeper issues behind the challenges you’re experiencing.
If you’re ready to see real results that go beyond the possibilities of traditional therapy, the holistic therapy methods we offer — EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, and Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experiencing — can get you there.
We’ll help you find relief and start really living…free from the past.
Maybe you’ve had a traumatic experience that has left you feeling panicked at the thought of it, even months or years later. Feelings of fear, grief, and guilt follow you everywhere, and at this point, it feels like you’re constantly in survival mode.
Imagine a way to heal emotional pain and stress by tuning into your body's natural rhythms. This approach, called Somatic Experiencing (SE), sees trauma as something that can affect how your body and mind work together.
SE helps you become more aware of your body's signals and sensations, so you can address and overcome difficult feelings. By doing this, it aims to bring back your true self – helping you feel balanced, relaxed, and whole again.
SE can
help with:
Feeling “stuck”
Struggles with self-care
Medical trauma
Familial conflict
Societal pressures
Insomnia
Romantic intimacy
Shifts in career or friendships

Renee Williams, Hailey Palos, and Rebekah Hesse are trained in SE.
Each therapist at Modern Sessions has training in some or multiple holistic modalities, and our practice owner, Renee Williams, has built the practice on the foundation of these methods. You can learn more about each of our therapists here.

The number of SE sessions you'll need can vary based on individual factors such as the nature of your trauma and your response to treatment. On average, some clients find relief in as few as 6-12 sessions, while more complex cases may require more. Your therapist will collaborate with you to determine the optimal treatment plan.

SE is especially effective for individuals who have experienced trauma, PTSD, or distressing life events. It has also shown promise for anxiety, phobias, and other emotional issues. If you've been struggling with the impact of past experiences or negative emotions, EMDR could be a treatment to consider.
